Gaffer Delighted To Be Back On Home Soil

4 December 2014

Manager Simon Grayson tells PNE Player he is looking forward to returning to Deepdale after so many away fixtures in recent weeks.

There has been just one home game in the last eight for the Lilywhites and the manager is hoping to start a new unbeaten run at home starting with an FA Cup tie against Shrewsbury Town this weekend.

"We were disappointed to lose the last home league game against Bradford and losing that run so when you end a run you want to try and get on another one as quickly as possible.

"It's the history of the FA Cup coming this weekend and so we are all looking forward to that because we are getting to that stage now, the second round, with the big hitters coming in the next round. Obviously everybody is desperate to get through to the third round and hopefully get a glamour tie.

"We know we are in for a tough game against Shrewsbury but it's nice to be back at Deepdale and hopefully get back to winning ways there.

To hear more from Simon Grayson on this weekend's cup tie and the current injury situation head over to PNE Player for the full interview.
