Jermaine Beckford Reflects On Time At PNE Ahead Of Posh Clash

18 December 2014

Jermaine Beckford joined North End on loan in November, teaming up with former manager Simon Grayson and the forward is once again enjoying his time under the gaffer.

Speaking to PNE Player, the 31-year-old, who has started each of PNE's last five games, reflected on his time at the Club so far and admits he would like to get off the mark in terms of scoring but is happy so long as the team keeps getting results.

"Of course I'm enjoying it, we've played really well, there have been one or two games that we've struggled to dominate in terms of possession but we've worked really hard and the results speak for themselves I think. It's been a really positive start.

"We've come away with quite a few points so far and come through a couple of rounds of different cups as well so all in all I think I would sacrifice a couple of goals for the results we've been having."

On working under Simon Grayson and Glynn Snodin again, Beckford said: "It's always great fun, I know exactly what sort of thing they look for, especially in someone like myself, so it's made it pretty easy to come in and not have the added stress of trying to figure out what it is the management staff are looking for."
