PNE To Host Silent Night Carol Service

8 December 2014

Preston North End is hosting a carol service at Deepdale on Monday 8th December which is free for all to attend as part of 'Whites Christmas'.

This year marks the 100 year anniversary of a remarkable World War I event when peace broke out in the trenches.

On Christmas Day there was no fighting, enemies ventured out across No Man’s Land, exchanged gifts, played football and sang Silent Night together.

To mark the centenary of the 1914 Christmas Truce, Preston North End invites one and all to join us for a Silent Night carols event at Deepdale, between 7-8pm on Monday 8th December.

It will be a fantastic opportunity to celebrate Christmas together with North End supporters, staff, management, players and members of the local community coming together in the unique surroundings of Deepdale Stadium.

The local community and Club will be playing their part in the service which promises to be a lively mixture of carols, music, readings and prayers.

Helping us to make it an occasion to remember will be the Brindle Band.

There will be no charge for entry to encourage as many people as possible to join with us.

Please spread the word amongst your local community and we look forward to seeing you and your family, friends, neighbours and work colleagues in attendance.
