Preston North End And BBC Unite To Commemorate First Anniversary Of Sir Tom Finney’s Passing

12 December 2014

North End, North West Tonight and Radio Lancashire are coming together to remember the most iconic of men.

The first anniversary of the great Sir Tom Finney's death is fast approaching.

Sir Tom passed away on February the 14th and as a Club we will be paying tribute to the city’s greatest son and North End's greatest player.

As part of this, we are teaming up with the BBC to mark such a poignant day with a series of events.

BBC North West Tonight and BBC Radio Lancashire want to hear your personal stories about meeting Sir Tom.

Many of us have a memory about seeing him, being in his company, or a conversation with the great man.

Your recollections are all part of our city and club's unique history - we really want to hear them.

The BBC will be using some of these in their reports and we as a Club will do the same.

There will be a special book in the reception at Deepdale soon where you can write your own memories about Sir Tom. - this will be kept as a permanent reminder to his memory.

There will also be a confidential section where you can leave personal details if you're happy to be contacted by the BBC.

You can contact BBC North West Tonight and/or BBC Radio Lancashire directly in the following ways.
