Alan Browne Signs New Preston North End Contract

1 July 2014

Preston North End midfielder Alan Browne has signed a new two year contract with the Lilywhites.

The 19-year-old broke in to the PNE first team in March following a January move from Cork City, going on to make a total of nine appearances for Simon Grayson’s men, scoring one goal in the process.

And that fine form towards the tail end of the season was enough for him to earn a new contract through to the end of the 2015/16 season.

After putting pen to paper on his new deal, Browne said in an exclusive interview with PNE Player: “I am over the moon.

“I couldn’t have asked for much more, the past six months have went brilliantly for me and hopefully I can kick on.

“Getting in to the team towards the end of the season and getting to play in the Play-Offs, the manager has shown massive belief in me and helped my confidence a lot.”

Browne represented the Republic Of Ireland U19s in the European Championship Elite Group stage during the summer, scoring his first goal for his country at that level.
