Bamber Bridge v PNE, Tues 22nd July, 7pm

21 July 2014

North End make their annual trip to the recently renamed Sir Tom Finney Stadium to face Bamber Bridge in the first of three friendlies in four days.

Simon Grayson’s side take on Brig, who like the Lilywhites suffered Play-Off heartbreak last season, looking to step up their pre-season campaign.

Following Saturday’s narrow defeat to Premier League runners-up Liverpool the manager is expected to give his squad more than the maximum 45 minutes they have had so far.

Jack Ryan is expected to get his first minutes of pre-season, the recent youth team graduate had a slight injury that kept him out of the first two games, but is now back in training and should get a run out up front.

Lee Holmes and Kyel Reid are the only players still on the sidelines, the two left wingers having rib and knee issues to recover from, respectively. Paul Huntington, who suffered a wrist injury against Brendan Rodgers’ Reds at the weekend, should be okay to play with a protective cast.

The game at the former Irongate named stadium is a 7pm kick-off with entry via pay on the gate, with adults priced £8, concessions £5 and U12s free when accompanied by a paying adult.

If you can’t make it we’ll be bringing the best of the action via our Facebook and twitter feeds, with a match report on the whistle and video reaction and highlights available on PNE Player on Wednesday.
