Following his second consecutive pre-season start at left back, Ben Davies is pleased to be playing in what he considers his best position.
In an exclusive interview with PNE Player following North End’s 2-1 victory over Premier League Burnley, the youngster admits he is happy to have recently featured in his more natural home than at left centre back.
“I played quite a lot at left back last season so I feel more at home there at the minute,” said Davies.
“Who knows what the future holds in terms of positions, but I’m quite pleased obviously to get out there on the pitch.
“Currently, left back in my opinion [is my best position], I feel more comfortable there and I need to build up a bit more to play centre back, but I’m sure that will come with age and I’m just looking forward to the future.”
