North End’s No.22 Jack King is hoping that he and his teammates can make a mark on Saturday when Liverpool come to Deepdale.
This same fixture last season provided a tough physical test for the Lilywhites, and although this is the purpose of pre-season friendlies, King hopes PNE can prove their worth against higher opposition.
“It’s always going to be difficult, they are a good side, they finished up at the top of the Premier League last year.
“They have obviously got qualities so I’m sure they are going to bring a strong side.
“The game serves a purpose for us, it’s about getting us ready for our first game, as it is for them, so we will get the fitness but hopefully we can put our mark on the game aswell."
To hear more from Jack King on this weekend’s game, pre-season and his recovery from last year’s foot injury go to PNE Player now to watch the extended interview.
