Josh Brownhill Delighted With Goal And Learning Experience

19 July 2014

Preston North End youngster Josh Brownhill says that scoring against Liverpool was a great feeling despite the narrow 2-1 defeat.

Preston matched their Premier League opponents stride for stride throughout the pre-season contest, and their first half efforts were rewarded with the 18-year-old giving the hosts a deserved half-time lead.

And Josh was pleased with the goal and the lessons learned.

“I said before the game that I was wishing I was going to score and when it [the ball] came across, I can’t really remember to be fair what went through my head but it was a great feeling,” said the midfielder in an exclusive interview with PNE.Com.

“Watching them on TV from being a kid and some of them playing for their international sides as well, you learn so much about movement and how they act around the pitch as well.”
