Latest Sky Bet World Cup Betting Preview

17 June 2014

Tonight’s World Cup games see Belgium, Algeria, Russia and South Korea take the stage for the first time in this tournament with action from Group H.

This evening also sees hosts Brazil play their second match of the tournament when they face Mexico at the Estadio Castelao.

Belgium and Algeria kick-off tonight’s action at 5pm, when Belgium will take part in the World Cup for the first time in 12 years. There is much hype and excitement around the new look team and are the dark horses in many people’s minds for World Cup glory.

The Red Devils are favourites for tonight’s match, and they are 1/3 with Sky Bet to win tonight. Algeria are 15/2 to get the victory in the opening game. With plenty of goals flying in already in the tournament, you can get a price of 7/4 if you think Belgium will win and both teams will score.

Brazil are next up as they face Mexico at 8pm, both teams are level at the top of group A, having won their opening games. Brazil are favourites at 1/3, with Mexico the outsiders at 15/2.

With just one goal separating them at the top of their group, it could be a tight game and you can get the draw at 4/1.

Neymar scored twice in the opening match in Sao Paulo, and he is 11/4 to score first again tonight with Sky Bet.

In the final game tonight, Russia take on South Korea at the Arena Pantanal, kicking off at 11pm. Former England manager Fabio Capello is in charge of the Russians and will be hoping for a positive start after just one win with the Three Lions back in 2010.

The two countries met in a friendly last November, and Russia were 2-1 winners.
You can place a bet on a repeat of that scoreline at 15/2, or Russia to win the game by any scoreline at 3/4.

South Korea are being led by former captain Hong Myung-Bo, who has nothing to lose going into the tournament as he is already a hero in his country. South Korea are 4/1 to win their opening match tonight with Sky Bet.
