If you’re planning on travelling to every PNE away game this season, you’ll be clocking up a grand total of 2,766 miles to watch the Lilywhites.
A trip to Kent on a Tuesday night will be the furthest destination away from PR1 with Preston taking on Gillingham on the 21st October - with 242 miles separating Deepdale from the Priestfield Stadium.
The away day to take on Peter Taylor’s side is closely followed by excursions to West Sussex and Essex, with Crawley 239 miles away, and Colchester 227 miles on the final day of the season.
They’ll be a fair few travelling hours for the final two weeks in November, with successive trips to Bristol City and Yeovil.
Preston travel to Bristol on the 22nd November before journeying further south to Yeovil the following Saturday – meaning North End will have travelled a grand total of 808 miles there and back in the space of a week!
The supporters coach will have time to recuperate however with short trips to Fleetwood Town and Rochdale with the pair getting promoted into the league - meaning North End will have four north-west teams to play in 2014/15 with Oldham Athletic and Crewe Alexandra occupying the other two spaces in League One.
The trip to the north-west corner of Fylde will be the shortest outing for North End fans, when Simon Grayson locks horns with Preston favourite Graham Alexander on the 28th March with just 21 miles between the Lancashire pair.
