New Preston North End Crest To Be Retained

20 May 2014

The specially commissioned Invincibles badge that was on the playing kit in 2013/14 is to be adopted as the permanent new Club crest, effective from 1st July 2014.

There will be one small change, with the ‘ribbon’ below the badge being changed from saying ‘Invincibles 125 Years’ to the new strapline of ‘Established 1880’.

This new badge will be adopted across all Club literature, merchandise and of course on the playing and replica kit from 2014/15 onwards.

Speaking about the new crest, general manager Ben Rhodes said: “The reaction to the special anniversary badge, designed by Laura Morris, was fantastic and many supporters have asked if we could consider retaining its use.

“The placement of the historic crest of the city, with the ‘PP’ surrounded by the badge, our Club name and now our year of adoption of association football years, incorporates many elements of our great history and tradition and we are sure it will be worn with pride by players and fans alike for many years to come.”

The old Club crest will be phased out across all areas of the Club’s branding over a period of time, with the plan for the newly adopted official badge to be used as the one and only brand from July 1st 2014.
