Buchanan Believes Fans Can Play Their Part

13 November 2014

Left back David Buchanan told PNE Player how important the support of the fans has been so far this season and hopes they can help inspire the Lilywhites to another home victory on Saturday.

The last league outing at Deepdale saw PNE come from two goals down to win 3-2 against Fleetwood Town, and Buchanan believes the fans played their part that day, and hopes for more of the same from the supporters when North End take on Bradford City in a battle of the roses.

"Every time Bradford come here, they are definitely one of the biggest clubs in this league, their home crowds are always very big, and away from home, they bring some of the most fans to Deepdale so they're going to come in on the back of a win, they are going to fancy their chances.

"I'm sure we'll pack it out again, the fans will be right behind us and we've been back on the training ground this morning doing our work and we are looking forward to finally getting to play at home again.

"It's important and you can't stress this enough as a player, sometimes as a fan, I'm a fan myself, you do get frustrated when you are paying money to come and watch the players on the pitch and they're not doing their job properly.

"But when they do get behind you and they are backing you until they end like they have done this season fantastically, it just makes you feel as though if you do get that next goal or even if you're winning a game, you just want to go on and win it by more."
