Preston North End will host Shrewsbury Town in the second round of the FA Cup after the Salop defeated Walsall on Tuesday.
A Liam Lawrence goal early in the second half of Tuesday night’s first round replay was enough to separate the sides; Walsall finishing the match with ten men.
This will be the second time League Two Shrewsbury have visited Deepdale this season, North End winning their first encounter in the JPT 1-0 thanks to a Jordan Hugill goal.
Shrewsbury have now defeated Leicester City, Norwich City, Blackpool and Walsall from higher divisions in cup competition this season as well as competing well with Premier League giants Chelsea.
PNE’s second round FA Cup tie with the Salop is scheduled for Saturday 6th December; kick off 3pm with ticket details as follows:
