Paul Huntington Pleased With Goal, Cleansheet and Result

29 November 2014

Paul Huntington slayed his former employers with a terrific, display, result, cleansheet and even a goal as PNE won 2-0 at Huish Park.

Huntington, who netted his third goal of the campaign on Saturday – all of which have come on the road, was outstanding at the heart of the North End defence alongside Tom Clarke as North End remained third in Sky Bet League One.

And the defender was delighted with other elements of the afternoon ahead of his bullet header of a goal which gave Preston an early lead.

“I am really pleased – pleased more for the cleansheet and obviously the result on the back of a real good week for us,” said Huntington in an exclusive interview with PNE Player.

“Getting through in the cup, winning at Bristol City last week, and then backing that up with a win; it was a ground out performance from the lads.

“It is never an easy place to come, so yes I am really pleased.

“I don’t think we were great first half but we dug in second half and as the game went on; they got a man sent off, and we managed to exploit a few gaps and could have won by more in the end.”
