David Buchanan: "Three Points Is All That Matters"

2 October 2014

David Buchanan reflects on the last time Colchester United visited Deepdale and believes that patience will play it's part this weekend in earning all three points.

North End created plenty of chances in this fixture last season but were held to a 1-1 draw, this time around, the 29-year-old wants the Lilywhites to win the game whatever style of play it takes.

“Sometimes it happens in football, you dominate the game and you don’t always get the right result. that’s what the difference is, you can play good football, pass it about, everyone is on the edge of their seats but if you lose a football match then that’s no good.

"It’s all about winning football matches, no matter how matter how you do it, we all want to play good football and put on good performances but as a team and as a group of players and staff, just as long as we come away with three points on Saturday, that’s all we are bothered about.”
