PNE Player: Glynn Snodin Pleased With Result And Display

7 October 2014

Preston North End’s number two Glynn Snodin had plenty of reasons to be cheerful tonight with a number of players impressing in North End’s 3-2 victory over Port Vale.

Goals from Chris Humphrey, Joe Garner and Paul Gallagher saw North End into the next round of the JPT, with Garner’s finish being the pick of the bunch; a perfectly executed chip outside the box cruising into the back of the net.

And speaking to PNE Player after the final whistle, Snodin praised the forward's piece of initiative declaring " “That’s Joe Garner for you – you never know what’s going to come next.

“You think you’ve seen it all from him, then he comes up with something like that and scores a great goal once again."

As well as the goals, Snodin was also more than satisfied with his side’s performance tonight, with a number of players putting in displays to be content with.

“That’s exactly what we wanted - the application was good, and it was good to keep up the good habits and get the win,” added the assistant coach.

“We said to them at half-time to not be complacent and to make sure that we moved the ball a bit quicker.

"We wanted to make sure we did the right things even if it is the JPT because there’s a big prize at the end of it.”
