North End defender Scott Wiseman believes that the upcoming fixture period will be a crucial one for the likes of PNE and fellow promotion hopefuls.
Wiseman returns from international duty and he and his teammates will face two games a week for the next month starting this weekend against Port Vale.
The Gibraltar international feels the team are well prepared for this run of games and believes that after this period, the league positions will start to take shape.
"It's going to be a good period, because after this month/ six week period it's going to really show what the league is looking like. At the minute it's kind of there but it's not yet.
"We've got two games in hand and we are in a fantastic position to get ourselves up there so by the end of this period we want to see ourselves right up there and right in the mix.
"We know going into this how tough it's going to be but it's why we play football, it's what we want to do, it's why we are so fit, it's why we work so hard in pre-season, it's for this type of fixture congestion."
