Simon Grayson Knows His Side Can't Get Carried Away

27 October 2014

Manager Simon Grayson feels his side need to play by the old cliché of 'take it game by game' as the Lilywhites climb the League One table.

Saturday's results meant that North End moved up to second and despite having two games in hand over leaders Bristol City, one being tomorrow's fixture at Leyton Orient, Grayson knows his side must only focus on each game as it comes.

"Regardless of anybody else playing, or not playing, we just want to go and win, we want to go and get a positive result.

"So people can look at the table and say we've got two games in hand and we can get to this that and the other, all we need to be doing is just focusing it by the old cliché game by game and keep things going along as smoothly as possible.

"We've always said that we won't get carried away which we're not, we're not shouting from the roofs, the players have done well over the last few weeks but they know they have to keep working and hopefully we will carry on the momentum and the confidence levels that we've got and try and get another real good result for us."

To hear more from Simon Grayson on tomorrow's trip to Leyton Orient, the spirit of the dressing room and more go to PNE Player now for the extended interview.
