PNE Player: Alan Browne On 'Heart-Breaking' Result

16 September 2014

Alan Browne told PNE Player he’s still coming to terms with North End’s 3-3 draw this evening, having been three goals to the good within the first half hour.

Preston opened the game in terrific fashion courtesy of Browne himself who found the net after seven minutes.

Goals from Joe Garner and Josh Brownhill soon followed with North End 3-0 up before the half hour mark.

However, a hat-trick from Eoin Doyle pegged North End back reducing them to taking just the point from Deepdale this evening instead of all three.

“I’m still trying to get my head round it to be honest - it's heart-breaking and It’s a massive disappointment on our behalf and for the fans especially who gave us great support tonight,” said Browne to PNE Player after the final whistle.

“We put our foot off the gas and let them get them back into the game - It definitely feels more like two points dropped rather than one point gained.”

“But we’re going to have to pick ourselves up again - we played better than we did in the last game against Walsall, so that’s probably the only positive we can take out of the game."
