Defender Calum Woods admitted Preston North End endured a ‘difficult afternoon’ against Walsall as they lost 3-1 at the Banks’s Stadium.
Joe Garner did equalise for Simon Grayson’s side before the break but two second half headers made sure of the three points for the Midlands outfit.
Speaking exclusively to PNE Player following the game, Woods bemoaned the way in which Preston conceded and credited the hosts for their performance.
“We conceded a few sloppy goals and Walsall played quite well today,” he said.
“The sending off didn’t help and once Jordan got sent off we lost a lot of shape and stuff like that and they had a lot of chances.”
“It was very difficult afternoon for us so it was very disappointing.”
