Preston North End frontman Kevin Davies says that the players need and want to respond in front of the Deepdale faithful.
Speaking exclusively to PNE Player, the striker, who made his name in the game with the Spireites, says that the players have responded to Saturday’s defeat positively in training and are grateful for the quick turnaround.
“We are looking for a response from the weekend,” stated Davies.
“It was one of those rare occasions were the performance was below the standard that we have set for ourselves as a team.
“Against anyone in this league; Walsall had not won for a long time, you get punished for it.
“We have to response to it and it is a great game for us because it comes around pretty quickly.”
