North End will blend youth with experience against Blackburn on Tuesday afternoon.
The two face each other in the first round of the Lancashire FA Senior Cup, and the Lilywhites will give several Academy players the chance to impress, along with more senior established players getting some valuable minutes under their belts.
Kyel Reid will hope to see a full 90 minutes of action as he continues his rehabilitation which saw him feature as a second half substitute against Shrewsbury Town in last week’s Johnstone’s Paint Trophy win over Shrewsbury Town.
