PNE Player: Joe Garner Hoping To Kickstart Good Run Of Form

18 September 2014

PNE's leading scorer Joe Garner remains positive despite the disappointment of Tuesday night and is hoping North End can kickstart a winning run this weekend against Crawley Town.

Speaking to PNE Player, the 26-year-old praised the unbeaten league run at Deepdale, which stems back to December last year, and hopes to improve on that on Saturday.

"It's a very good record, but really I think a lot of teams come now and sit behind the ball a little bit and try and get us on the counter which we need to find a way to beat teams that do that.

"It is tough, because there's not much space to play in behind and things like that but we work on it everyday.

"I think the gaffer has done really well since he has come in and the lads are enjoying it  and if we put two wins together this week and I think we will be right back up there.

"It's only seven games gone, there are 46 games in the season, we've brought in a few new faces and I think once we click, if we play like we did in the first 30 minutes [on Tuesday], we will be a force to be reckoned with."
