Simon Grayson Looking To Turn The Clock Back

11 September 2014

Preston North End manager Simon Grayson is hoping to turn back time this Saturday and replicate the Lilywhites’ display and result last time out at the Banks’s Stadium.

North End put in a commanding performance to record a 3-0 victory over the Saddlers in the corresponding fixture last season, but the gaffer is wary of the threat posed by Walsall.

Speaking to PNE Player, Grayson said: “They have had a turnaround of players and obviously they are in a position where they don’t want to be.

“But it is a long season, and I think they have been a team that has done very well in the last few years and played a very attractive way of football and we know we will be in for a tough game.

“Obviously last year we had a terrific result there with some good performances and hopefully we can replicate that sort of performance and result.”
