Preston North End duo Simon Grayson and Jermiane Beckford have been nominated for the Sky Bet League One manager and player of the month awards respectively.
But both Grayson and Beckford have tough competition to claim April’s gongs.
The PNE boss is up against Paul Cook (Chesterfield), Steve Cotterill (Bristol City) and Karl Robinson (MK Dons) to be named manager of the month; an accolade which would be the gaffer’s third of the 2014/15 season.
As for PNE’s on loan Bolton Wanderers frontman, he takes on Ben Gladwin (Swindon Town), Will Grigg (MK Dons) and James O’Connor (Walsall) for the coveted award.
The panel for the manager’s award comprises of former Ipswich Town manager George Burley, Sky Sports’ Football League expert Don Goodman; Football League Chief Operating Officer Andy Williamson; League Managers’ Association Director Olaf Dixon and Sky Bet Football Trading Manager Paul Lowery
Meanwhile the players’ award will be selected by Sky Sports’ Football League expert Don Goodman; Football League Head of Communications John Nagle; League Managers’ Association Director Olaf Dixon and Sky Bet Football Trading Manager Paul Lowery.
