Gaffer Remains Confident His Side Can Achieve Their Objective

15 April 2015

North End have come a long way since the end of a disappointing January and manager Simon Grayson remains positive his side can still reach their goal this season.

Sitting in second place, three points clear of third place and with just four games to go, the gaffer admits he would have taken this position without question back then and believes his side are on course to get to where they want to be.

"We've gone 15 games unbeaten, the players are in a confident mood, players are scoring goals, and we have a group of players who are determined to carry on what we've been doing.

"Everybody else probably would have thought we were mad as well at the time [end of January] if we were suggesting that we would be in this position so everything is to play for, we're still in a fantastic position and we're very confident that we will secure promotion."

Next up for the PNE boss and his team is a trip to Port Vale on Friday and a game everyone is looking forward to with a chance to get back to winning ways.

"We'll have a fantastic following away there and it's obviously a team that are desperate to get some points so we are looking forward to it, the game can't come quick enough now.

"We're in a confident mood and a mood that is determined to keep doing things right."
