Jermaine Beckford insists that Preston North End got exactly what they deserved at Meadow Lane with victory over Notts County.
The on loan front man finished with aplomb to give PNE the lead before League One’s newly crowned player of the year Joe Garner doubled their lead before the break.
And Beckford sealed the three points with a stunning finish late on to kill off a valiant County side who had pulled one back through Jimmy Spencer.
And the North End No.10 believes that victory in Nottingham was a huge win for him and his teammates.
“That was a big result tonight, especially after the last couple of results,” Beckford told PNE Player.
“We stuck together and fortunately we got exactly what we deserved from the game which was three points so everybody is really happy.
“Mentally, it’s a nice feeling.”
