Point Gained By North End Says Jermaine Beckford

11 April 2015

Preston North End goalscorer Jermaine Beckford believes that Saturday’s 1-1 draw with table topping Bristol City was a good point for the hosts.

The on loan Bolton Wanderers man scored the opener which was cancelled out by Aaron Wilbraham as the top two in League One went toe-to-toe in front of over 16,000 vocal supporters at Deepdale.

And Beckford, who netted his ninth goal for the Lilywhites, believes that the point could be a valuable one come the end of the Sky Bet League One campaign.

“It was enjoyable to be involved in but frustrating as well.

“You have definitely got to take that as a point gained, especially against a team as good as they are.

“They are solid, compact and work really well on the counter attack, so it is definitely a point gained.”
