Warning Regarding Flares, Smoke Bombs And Pyrotechnics

30 April 2015

Preston North End supporters are reminded not to enter, or attempt to enter the stadium with flares, smoke bombs or pyrotechnics at Colchester on Sunday.

After selling around 3,000 tickets for the trip to the Weston Homes Community Stadium, the Club want all supporters to experience and enjoy what we all hope will be a big day in the recent history of North End.

As mentioned on several occasions this season, we have repeatedly received written warnings from the Football Association regarding a very small minority of our fan base who travel to away matches and misbehaviour in any way, shape or form could lead to the FA taking action via methods which include fines or a reduction to away ticket allocations for the 2015/16 season regardless of which division the Club finds itself in.

Essex Police and the match stewards will have additional search methods, including sniffer dogs, in place on Sunday at the turnstiles, and anyone found trying to bring flares, smoke bombs or any other form of pyrotechnic devices into the stadium could face a large fine and a substantial ban from attending
Preston North End matches in the future.

These devices also have the ability to cause harm, injury and discomfort to your fellow North End supporters who are there to support the team and enjoy the match.

Please do not enter, or attempt to enter the Weston Homes Community Stadium with these devices and lets all get behind Simon and the boys on what we hope is a huge day for the football club, together.
