Chris Full Of Praise For Fitness Coach

20 August 2015

PNE winger Chris Humphrey was full of praise for fitness coach Tom Little ahead of this weekend's visit of Ipswich Town.

The 27-year-old returned from international duty just before the new season kicked-off, and the hard work started straight away under the watchful eye of fitness coach Tom Little.

Now having started the last two games for the Lilywhites, Chris feels the hard work on his return has paid off and thanked the coach for his speedy return to first team action.

"I worked hard while I was away, I wanted to be right for when I came back. I didn't want to be missing too many games due to not being fit.

"When I got back, I was struggling with jet lag for a good two weeks but Tom still insisted on me working hard and even though at the time you're hating it, but I thank him for everything now because I feel great.

"I feel good now, I feel good in the games that I've played so far and to be honest I didn't really expect to get in as quickly as I have.

"I was just waiting for a chance, that chance came against MK Dons and you've just got to take that chance whenever it comes and you just try and do your best for the team."
