PNE captain Tom Clarke feels North End have been successful in bringing last season's momentum into the new campaign and hopes it continues.
The Lilywhites ended a terrific 2014/15 season with promotion to the Championship, and Clarke admits the squad is relishing the challenge of a tougher division, and hopes to build on the four points already collected by he and his teammates.
"The manager has managed to keep the sort of players that we had last season, who have that winning mentality and that's given us a good start to the season so far and hopefully that continues.
"We go into each game with no fear, we know it's going to be a tough season and we're coming up against some good teams but we're a good group, a talented group and we've got nothing to fear.
"We need to go into every game with the same mentality because each game is a big test.
"We look into every game now with excitement and enjoyment and can't wait for the next game to come around."
