Daniel Johnson believes he and his teammates did more than enough to earn at least a point against Ipswich Town at Deepdale on Saturday.
The Jamaican drew PNE level following Brett Pitman’s opener for the Tractor Boys before Ryan Fraser sealed the win for the league leaders.
But Johnson knows that the result does not tell the full story; North End undeserving of nothing from the game.
“We definitely didn’t deserve that the way we played today,” said Johnson, when speaking to PNE PlayerHD at full-time.
“They are top of the league for a reason, but they came here and we definitely gave them a game.
“We thought we should have come out the game with at least a point; if not the three points.
“It was a great goal [the winner] and you can’t really take anything away from the goal which finished the game off.
“Credit to them. They came here and got the three points but it was definitely not what we deserved.”
