Deepdale Date Against Watford In The Capital One Cup

North End received a home draw in the second round of the Capital One Cup against newly promoted Premier League side Watford.

The non-seeded teams were pre-drawn with Simon Grayson's men the last of the unseeded teams drawn out at home and then had to await for the last ball drawn by Alan Smith, with the Hornets the opponents.

The Lilywhites progressed to the second round thanks to their first win at Gresty Road since 2005, Jordan Hugill's penalty, Will Keane's first competitive goal and Josh Brownhill earning a 3-1 victory over Steve Davis' side on Wednesday night.

This gave them ball 17 in the draw, with the side unseeded, guaranteeing a team from the top two divisions and ultimately...

The tie will be played week commencing 24th August, with the exact date and kick-off time to be confirmed, along with pricing.
