Loan goalkeeper Jordan Pickford continued to grow his burgeoning reputation with the Lilywhites faithful after another clean sheet at stadium:mk.
The England U20 stopper bossed his box and made one outstanding first half save to grab his second clean sheet in consecutive league games as the yellows picked up a 1-0 win over Karl Robinson’s men.
Speaking to PNE PlayerHD after the game he said: “You can’t get much better than that. It felt really good and I did what I had to do.
“The whole team grafted really well and played some good football as well and we have the three points and the clean sheet, which is what we wanted beforehand.”
In front of him the whole side played their part, working hard to keep the Dons attack at bay and he was very pleased with the effort of the side: “The defence were top drawer,” continued the No.1.
“The system we played was excellent and we got blocks in and did our jobs. There were two or three blocks near the end which was good for me as a keeper as they didn’t have to come through to me and I thought as a team we did everything that was asked for us.
“In the last ten minutes we stuck together as a team and ground the result out. We got a great goal in the first half and then stopped them from playing.”
