Having joined PNE on loan from Manchester United earlier in the Summer, Will Keane has settled in at Deepdale and feels confident ahead of the new season.
North End kick-off their Championship campaign against Middlesbrough at Deepdale on Sunday, and the striker feels he and his teammates are up to the test in a tough division.
"It's been a good pre-season for us all, it's been nice for me to get some games under my belt and now we are all just really looking forward to Sunday's game and we go into that confident and hoping to get a win.
"I had a good experience in the Championship last year, and all the lads here know that it's a big step up and it's a tough league but we know how competitive it is as well.
"On our day we know we can beat anyone and we're coming into the league confident and wanting to attack teams and to go out and win games.
"We are all looking really fit and strong and now we are ready to go this weekend."
