Adam Reach: ‘It Could Have Been More’

12 December 2015

On-loan winger Adam Reach hailed North End’s performance this afternoon, acknowledging the winning margin could have been greater.

In the end, it was Joe Garner’s penalty in the second-half which proved to be the deciding factor as North End made it two wins from two with a 1-0 victory against Reading.

Numerous Lilywhite players came close to joining Garner in finding the net, including Reach himself who struck the woodwork just five minutes into the game.

The victory however means its two wins from two after last weekend’s win against Lancashire rivals Burnley, and Reach believes momentum is key going into a busy few weeks during the festive season.

“It’s back to back wins for the first time in a long time,” told Reach to PNE Player HD after the game.

“We’ve finally got the ball rolling at home and it sets us up nicely going into the Christmas period.

“From start to finish, we worked hard – the goals have been hard to come by as of late, but we got one today and I don’t know how we didn’t get the second or third one too be honest.

“Their keeper pulled off some good saves, and sometimes in this league 1-0 isn’t enough but fortunately it was today, but in future we’ll look to capitalise on 1-0 leads and score more.”
