Adam Reach: "We Didn't Turn Up Today"

26 December 2015

Winger Adam Reach gave an honest assessment after North End fell to a 3-1 defeat at Huddersfield Town.

The on-loan Middlesbrough man admitted North End weren't at their best today, but knows the team will try and put things right on Monday at Deepdale.

"We discussed it after the game and we know we just didn't turn up today. We weren't quick enough, we didn't close down quick enough, we didn't win any individual battles, we didn't win any tackles, any headers, we were poor today.

"One positive from that is that I've been here now for 15 or 16 games and that's the first time that we've been disappointed in ourselves so we will put it right on Monday. We'll train tomorrow and we will try to put it right on Monday.

"There could be a millions reason or just one why it was the way it was today, but I don't know what it was it was just one of those days.

"We didn't turn up and not enough players played well and if you've got nine or ten players playing poorly then I doubt you'll get a result but we will come in tomorrow and we will definitely put it right on Monday.

"We will work hard, we will be right in Hull's faces and try and get a result."
