Gaffer On First Return To Elland Road

18 December 2015

Manager Simon Grayson returns to Elland Road this Sunday for the first time as a manager since leaving the Club in 2012.

The PNE boss led Leeds United to automatic promotion in 2010, alongside assistant manager Glynn Snodin and a number of his current players.

This time the gaffer will be in the opposite dugout with North End, but despite his connection with the Club, the manager will be going all out to get the three points this weekend.

"It's probably obvious that his was the fixture that I looked for, I haven't been back to Elland Road as a manager since I left as I haven't had the opportunity but I'm looking forward to it.

"For me it's nice, I get to go back and see a few people, obviously it's a place where I worked for many years as a player and a manager but ultimately it's about going back there and trying to get a result.

"We will have our professional heads on right the way through the build up to it all now, as it's no different to any other game for us.

"We have to be focused on what we need to do and ultimately try and pick up another three points if possible. That's our main aim and we are desperate to do that."
