Greg Looking To Kick-On In New Year

31 December 2015

Greg Cunningham is hoping North End can kick-off the new year with a bang against Rotherham United at Deepdale on Saturday.

The Lilywhites ended 2015 with a superb home win against promotion hopefuls Hull City, and the former Bristol City man is looking to build on that result this weekend.

"I've only been here for half of the year but it's been a very successful year for the Club getting promoted to the Championship.

"We've had a great start to the season so we are looking to kick-on now in the new year and finish as high in the table as we can.

"After the result at Huddersfield we needed to make sure we made amends and we really did knuckle down and get a good performance against Hull. We need to make sure now that we kick on at the weekend and do the same thing against Rotherham and then the week after than and keep carrying on.

"The league is so tight that a couple of results and you can half way up the table, but on the reverse side, a few bad results and you can find yourself sneaking near that relegation zone.

"We are looking up and we're looking forward to the game on Saturday and hopefully get another three points and really kick on up the table."
