Greg Cunningham was delighted North End came away with all three points in the Lancashire derby at Turf Moor.
The Irishman feels it was a big win for the team and the fans alike, and admits confidence is high going into the next two games.
"It was a massive win for us today, we needed to make sure we put on a good performance today and we did that and we matched that with a good result.
"You could tell by the atmosphere how much it meant to everyone, the support from the fan today was phenomenal and they were in fine voice all through the game and really spurred us on.
"Confidence is flowing, the performances have been there, we've played some great stuff but we've drawn a few so we were delighted to get the win today.
"We will go back to Deepdale, two home games, confidence flying, and we will do our best to get a couple of home wins in a row."
