Defender Marnick Vermijl feels that confidence is key going into Tuesday's game against Birmingham City.
The on-loan Sheffield Wednesday man has been part of a solid defence for North End in recent weeks, and admitted confidence was high within the squad but knows there's still room for improvement.
"Confidence is one of the key things in football, if a player has no confidence, you can see that straight away on the pitch and for us at the moment the confidence in the whole team is really high and hopefully we can show that again on Tuesday night.
"There's still room for improvement for the whole team to get into better positions and that's what we will continue to try and do.
"We need to continue what we are doing, keep getting cleansheets, and then the wins will come.
"We only need one goal to win a game if you don't concede, and I think we are doing really well at the moment.
"It's just a shame that we did only score the one goal in the last game because we could have had more and it's always a bit more comfortable so hopefully we can do that in the next game."
