Goalkeeper Jordan Pickford described North End's performance against Huddersfield Town as a 'blip' and is confident the team will bounce back.
It was an uncharacteristic performance from Simon Grayson's side at the John Smith's Stadium on Boxing Day and the on-loan 'keeper is grateful of a quick turn around in games and a chance to put things right,
"I think it was just a blip for us, we just didn't turn up and we weren't at the races really, but in football sometimes that happens but you need to stick together as a team and keep working hard.
"If you look at the results throughout the season, performance wise we've matched anyone. We drew against Brighton and Middlesbrough, and we were unlucky against Derby and they are three of the best teams in this league.
"We are capable of beating anyone really. Hopefully we can get the three points tomorrow against Hull, who are a good side, but we showed at the start of the season that we matched them.
"We were just unfortunate that they got a cheap goal in the first half then they got a good header in the second half.
"We don't fear anyone, we will just go out there and try and get it back to how it should be after Saturday's game."
