Robinson Pleased With Effort Shown By Players

2 December 2015

Academy midfielder Adam Robinson was pleased with the effort shown by the side against Carlisle United in the FA Youth Cup.

The hard work paid off as the youngsters came out 2-1 winners after a late strike in extra time secured a place in the fourth round.

Robinson led by example, putting his body on the line on a number of occasions despite not having played many games recently due to injury.

"The lads were good night, most of us had cramp towards the end but we just got on with it, got the goal and got the win.

"All the lads put a shift in, a few came off and the subs that came on were fantastic.

"We all put a lot of effort in and the result was fully deserved.

"We have to strive to get that contract so we will just keep going now, get as many wins as we can and try and progress further in this competition and hopefully we can succeed from there."
