Growing up as a Liverpool fan, John Welsh has added motivation going into Monday's FA Cup clash with the Reds' rivals Manchester United.
"Everyone knows of the rivalry between Liverpool and Manchester United, it's going to be a great game, I'm really looking forward to it. I can't be held responsible for if I score the winner, so if it's me that scores the winner in the 92nd minute then anything could happen!
"It's really exciting times and I'm sure it's exciting for Preston North End fans who are seeing this game.
"We believe it's a winnable game, any games winnable no matter who you're playing or who you're coming up against. We've seen Cambridge give them a game at home so it's definitely a winnable game.
"It's going to be tough, we're going to need eleven players to be playing really, really well to get anything from the game and I think we've got that in us to do it.
"It's a great occasion, and these are the nights where legends or heroes are made. Super Tommy Clarke is one that came from the Blackpool game. So whether it's me or whether it's anyone, if we win the game then I'm sure we'll all be heroes for a couple of weeks and that's the aim and that's the plan. So whoever it is who gets the winner, they'll be a hero in my eyes lets just say that!."
