Hunts Looking For More Goals

19 February 2015

It’s seven up for the season for Paul Huntington. The North End No.23 is already having his best ever scoring season, but he wants more.

Speaking exclusively to The One And Only ahead of the visit of Mark Robins’ Scunthorpe United to Deepdale, the centre half is looking to keep contributing.

“I am looking to get a few more hopefully!” Said the former Newcastle United centre half. “The delivery has been good and I have been getting in the right areas off set plays – but that side of it has been an added bonus.

“As a defender you are looking for clean sheets and solid consistent displays and I am looking to carry that on. If I can help the team and get more goals, then I would be happy to.

“It is a collective thing - getting clean sheets – it is a balance between getting the goal difference up as much as possible, scoring the goals, but keeping it tight at the other end. It is not just about the back four or the back five, it is credit to the whole team that we are keeping clean sheets.

“It just shows we are working hard for each other and we have to continue that. We have won nothing yet. We are in a good position and we have to kick on now.”

Also in the programme Hunts speaks about his run of 27 straight games, the longest of any player in the squad, and how he didn’t expect to be where he is now six months ago.

We also have plenty more packed into our 100 pages, including 12 pages of images from the Manchester United game, both match action and behind the scenes shots from the game.

We have a ‘sporting supporters’ special feature with interviews with Wade Barrett, Ryan Brierley, Jack Bridge, Matt Clarkson and Camilla Kerslake, PNE fan and partner of England Rugby Union skipper Chris Robshaw.

All this and so much more, still for the fantastic value price of just £3. They will be on sale from Friday afternoon from the Club shop, online and in person from our sellers inside and outside of Deepdale on matchday.
