Preston North End Sign Callum Robinson From Aston Villa Until End Of Season

2 February 2015

Preston North End have completed the loan signing of Callum Robinson from Aston Villa for the rest of the season.

Robinson, 20 today, re-joins the Lilywhites after a successful spell at the end of 2014 when he scored five goals in 11 appearances, ending with the winner over promotion rivals Bristol City in mid-November.

Robinson, who would also be available if the Club got through to the fifth round of the FA Cup, re-takes the No.27 shirt he wore in his first spell with the Club.

Speaking about the player’s return manager Simon Grayson said: “I made no secret of the fact we wanted to bring back Callum. He was just hitting top form in his last spell and he’s a great lad to have around.

“He wants to improve; he’s versatile and we are delighted he has chosen to come back to us when there have been Championship clubs who wanted to take him.”

Robinson was also delighted to be returning to Deepdale, he added: “I am really happy to come back for the rest of the season. I know all the lads and all the staff and I am looking forward to getting going again.

“The Preston fans have been great to me and I now want to focus on getting sharp again, getting a few more goals and hopefully helping the team get the promotion we are all aiming for.”
