Simon Grayson: 17 League Games To Achieve Our Objective

19 February 2015

With the Cup competitions out of the way, Simon Grayson's focus is totally on League One, with 17 games to reach the targets set pre-season.

The gaffer knows just how crucial this final run in could be and hopes to take the momentum from Monday night into a tough test against in form Scunthorpe United on Saturday.

"We've enjoyed the build up to the Manchester United game, and we enjoyed the night and we came out with a lot of credit both on the pitch and off the pitch.

"But all that has now gone, we've got the sole focus of concentrating on the league. The JPT is out of the way, theĀ  FA Cup is out of the way, we've now got 17 league games to really go and focus on and acheive our objective of what we set out when we came back on the 1st July.

"Tough test at the weekend, Scunthorpe have a fantastic record, it's something like the last nine or ten games they've won five and drawn four so it will be a tough test for us. They beat Swindon last week at home, beat Chesterfield on Tuesday, so if anybody's expecting an easy ride for us then the stats will prove that that's not the case.

"We've got to be equally prepared physically and mentally as we were for the last few games and go and do our stuff and hopefully get back on track with the league again."
