Simon Grayson: It Has The Hallmarks Of A Good Game

9 February 2015

Manager Simon Grayson believes the trip to the ProAct Stadium has all the hallmarks for a good game between two sides desperate to win the game.

Ahead of the game, Chesterfield sit in fifth place, eight points behind North End in fourth and the gaffer expects a good game with both sides looking to close the gap on the teams above.

"Two teams, obviously very close in the division and they've had a fantastic run, I think they've shown that with the momentum thay they've carried on from the promotion last year.

"Obviously we had a great game against them at Deepdale in terms of the number of goals on show that night from us. We were comfortable but then it obviously ended up 3-3.

"That was something that we learnt from, I remember talking about that result in a meeting afterwards and I think we went on an eight game winning streak. We learnt from that game so we're aware of what they can do obviously they've lost the strength of Eoin Doyle but obviously they'll be aware of what we're capable of doing.

"It's got the hallmarks of a good game. Two teams that will be desperate to try and win it, we want to pull away from them and catch the teams above us and obviously they want to win it to try and close the gap on us."
