Wiseman Happy To Return To Winning Ways

9 February 2015

Scott Wiseman is happy North End have started February with two victories after a tough start to 2015 and hopes to build on that away to Chesterfield.

The Defender admitted it had been a frustrating month or so for the Lilywhites but tells PNE Player it was good to get back to winning ways in the league against Coventry and close the gap on teams above.

"It was coming, it's been a long time coming, it's been a frustrating time for the lads, for the staff, for the fans and everyone involved but it was good to get back to winning ways.

"We hadn't won at home for a month I don't think so for us to get that first win it was always going to be nervy for us on the pitch and for the fans also. All that matters is that we came through that, got a cleansheet and a win.

"Everyone's starting to look at the league and panicking a little bit but when you look at things we're not far off it now, we've still got to play them [teams above] and they've got to play each other and it comes down to maybe your last few games of the season when we play Bristol and Swindon at home so it's going to be a fantastic end to the season.

To hear more from Scott Wiseman on current form, the trip to Chesterfield and more go to PNE Player.
